The Black Watch kilts have two buckles resembling the traditional styling. The Royal Kilt has oversized belt loops to accommodate highland-style belts. These kilts have black leather straps and buckles on both sides of the waist. For the best fit, tightly measure in inches around waist at belly button. Knee length at 22.5 inch standard size Lined and tailored syle tapered waist !!! Be sure to snugly measure at the height the belly button !!! In measuring for your kilt, it is best to have another person do the measuring with an accurate tape measure being held level around the navel and back. Some prefer a fit a tad higher, or lower, but a kilt is NOT the same size as your belt or a pair of pants, nor should your measurement be at the level of pants or a belt. An accurate, and current measurement around the "natural waist" is important for a good fit.
